Health Tech startup Ditto raises €7.6M to redefine how patients understand medical information

May 13, 2026

Ditto, the health tech startup redefining how patients process and act on medical information, announced it raised €7.6 million in a Seed funding round. The investment will accelerate the company’s expansion beyond the Netherlands into Germany, the UK, and Spain, bringing clarity to thousands of patients facing complex diagnoses.

The round was led by Heal Capital, one of Europe’s premier healthtech investors, alongside Rubio Impact Ventures. The partnership brings together clinical expertise and a strict impact mandate, aimed at supporting those the healthcare system often overlooks. The round also saw continued support from early backer Chris Oomen (Optiverder) and a group of strategic angel investors.

While most healthcare AI focuses on clinician productivity (notes, charting, and triage), Ditto focuses on the patient as the strongest lever for better outcomes. The app provides aclear, revisit-able record of what was actually said during a consultation. Thus, Ditto is empowering patients to ask better questions and follow treatment plans more reliably and it allows patients to communicate accurate information to family members and caregivers.

Today, Ditto is approaching 100,000 users with a 4.7-star rating across the App Store and Google Play. This new capital will fund the company’s 2026 entry into the German, British, and Spanish markets.

Beyond geographic growth, Ditto is evolving to support the entire patient journey. Upcoming features will focus on pre-appointment preparation, using data from previous conversations to help patients navigate what lies ahead.
