Clevergy, a Spain-based technology startup founded in 2022, has secured €3.2 million to boost its international expansion following a year in which it tripled its growth. The funding round was co-led by Racine² (managed by Serena and makesense) and Axon Partners Group, through its Next Technology Fund supported by Ventures EPM. Additional participation came from Satgana, Wayra (Telefónica’s corporate venture arm), and Angels, the investment firm founded by Juan Roig.
Founded byBeltrán Aznar, Álvaro Pérez, and Juan López, Clevergy has quickly become a key technology partner for energy providers in Spain. In just three years, its SaaS platform has been implemented across hundreds of thousands of households, offering users real-time insights into their energy consumption, improved solar self-production management, and control over connected devices such as EV chargers, batteries, and heat pumps.
The company has now completed two funding rounds within 18 months, €1.5 million in 2024 and €3.2 million in 2025, underscoring the growing interest among energy retailers in digital tools that enhance customer engagement and lower operational costs.
“Energy retailers have recognized that the industry is evolving and that technology is crucial to staying competitive, enabling households to take on a new role in the energy market. We’re already working with leading suppliers in Spain and enabling thousands of families to save on their bills. With this new funding, we can scale that impact across Europe.” said Beltrán Aznar, CEO and co-founder of Clevergy.
