Contribe, a Danish impact-driven startup that aims to revolutionize the shopping experience by giving all users the power to engage with on-brand impact projects with every purchase, has raised $550K as part of its Pre-seed round. Last year, the startup announced a €1 million in funding from Rockstart, Human Act Development, and the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark.
Contribe’s solution allows online stores to give shoppers the option to direct a portion of their purchase value to a charity of choice, without adding any cost to the customer. This shopping-with-good-impact approach has been shown to boost conversion rates, strengthen customer loyalty, and increase revenue for retailers, all while helping nonprofits secure additional funding for their initiatives.
Through their platform, the team wants to integrate sustainability into shopping experiences, creating impactful experiences for both the consumer and the businesses. By using Contribe, retailers can show buyers the impact they're making in a very clear and direct way.
Today, the company has 1.4 million users, surpassing their goal of 1 million by the end of 2025, partners with nearly 400 online stores in 15 countries, and it integrates with all major e-commerce platforms.
